I wouldn't say no sense, but yes, Baccano! deliberately obfuscates the episodes, making them more clear as the story goes on.

hey i was actually considering watching durarara next so I guess thats a sign that I must @.@

edit: And yeah I knew it was the one who gave them immortality but i didnt know if he showed up any other times in the series or if that was his first appearance in that body
