My Score *SPOILERS
3.0 - Let me just say I haven't played VP past the 5th chapter. I was too bored. I still try to force myself to finish the game but I guess I'll have to start from scratch because I barely remember whats going on in the story. The battle system, although unique isn't to my liking. I find it too slow and I also don't like the dungeons being scrollers (thats for games like Castlevania and Mega Man).
Maybe I haven't paid enough attention to the game because I seriously didn't give two ****s about any of the characters (which you know are gonna die and join you).
I even have the sequel of VP on my PS2 and because of my experience with the first one. I'm dreading to play the 2nd

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

9.5/10.

There are jRPGs I'd rate higher, but not many. VP is pretty brilliant in what it does right, which no other game since has really nailed. Sure, stuff could improve (weapon balance: it seems pretty random) but it's still a game I've played multiple, multiple times (third on my "most replayed RPG" list?)
