This is what I meant. You can still have the same amount of votes that would be every half hour. Just double it and change it to every hour. This would help prevent premature voting.

Yeah. I mentioned 2 per hour instead of 1 per half hour in the discussion topic. It really does help things run smoother ya know? Not only is it less hectic to time your own saves properly, but that's also only half the amount of posts to deal with which means the pages wouldn't fill up so fast and you wouldn't have to update as often.
