D3 and D2 will probably be leagues apart in just about everything, to be honest. You won't get much more than a glimpse if anything

It'll probably seem a little dated, because so many games have improved on things it introduced. But for a while there it was one of the best games of its kind.

-Experience and drop rates increase with more players in the game

a Meph run is basically killing the act 3 boss, Mephisto

mf is Magic Find %. Its a modifier on blue equipment that increases the chance of blue items dropping.

Hell is "Very Hard". Normal = Normal. Nightmare = Hard. Hell = Very Hard.

Druid is a class that comes in the expansion. They can be fun since they can be werewolves or TORNADO's.

A good starter character is a summoner necro. You won't kill things very quickly but enemies won't attack you so you won't die very often. You can use this to get some good equipment for whichever characters you want to make in the future. I'd recommend an traps assassin (because they're mad fun even though they're mid tier), a windy druid, a meteorb sorc, or a hammerdin if you get lucky and somehow get the runes to make an Enigma. Save up your gems because sometimes people will trade you ridiculous things for, like, 4 p topazes. Skulls don't matter. Pick up EVERY CHARM YOU SEE. Pots are plentiful but you will run out of them. Keep some keys on you. Put your Cube in your inventory, even though you may not like it at first. Get rushed through Acts 2 and 3 because they're awful on their own.
