Disagree as there's no numerical basis in the statement. Had the title been worded "MGS4 is not one of the top ten games ever made" I might feel more inclined to concur but broadly speaking, the fact that it appears in my top twenty or so still warrants my disagreement.

Disagree. I wouldn't necessarily say it's the best (It's very close with every other MGS, IMO), but it is definitely one of them.

It's fake in that they pull their punches, know how to deliver/take the moves to minimize damage, and generally aren't actually fighting. Yeah, the stuff still hurts, but that's generally what people mean by "fake."
But fair enough. I guess people DO actually debate it, even if it's just debating what is meant by "fake."

You know, I think it's silly people want perfect quantification. Most people have a decent intuitive feel for what "one of the best games ever" means. It's probably in the range of their favourite 10 games to their favourite 100 games depending on how many games they've played.
I also don't think it's problematic that different people would have different numerical cutoffs. For instance, if you were to ask me if a game I'd played was "one of the best rhythm games ever", I'd probably be much stricter than 10 (because I've only played like...8 rhythm games, so maybe one or two would get my "one of the best" stamps).

Isn't that fact? That's like giving us poll to agree or disagree with movies being fake.
Strikes me as being semantical really. Chris Jericho for example said wrestling isn't fake but "scripted". It's really up to you if you see a difference.
