Batman doesn't need a power ring

unless he's fighting Snake.

TBQH, I'm sure Batman could benefit from any power ring... Well, except Black or White... and possibly Pink. Do you have to be a girl to be a Sapphire or is it just how they tend to go?

There's apparently no man in the DC Universe that loves enough to be a Star Sapphire. Although there was one man in their group, I can't remember who. And then Guy Gardener was able to wield the power of one of their rings.

Also it isn't pink, it's violet.

Oh as for the other rings, Batman has a story about him being a Green Lantern. I haven't read it. He's also been chosen to be in the Sinestro Corps, but he rejected it. He's not much for Hope, so I doubt he'd be able to wear a Blue ring. He's not selfish, so he wouldn't do great with an Orange ring. He's got some anger issues I guess, but he's pretty good at controlling his rage, so a Red ring wouldn't fit him. He does have a lot of Compassion though, he could probably wield an Indigo ring with proficiency.

I thought the Qwardian ring rejected him because he had previous exposure to the a green ring...

not an expert on these rings etc but didn't Superman say Batman would be the best candidate to beat him if he ever went crazy (as in not holding back) and people compare Superman with Goku in VS matches etc?

hmm

Goku would blow up the planet and whatnot killing Batman.

Ha of course, in the question of who's the better character (which is what really matters), Batman.

Yeah, but Goku doesn't have a kryptonite. I mean, I guess his tail, once upon a time, but that's not really relevant.

The ring was conflicted, but I presume it would've stayed with Batman if he accepted it.

That could have made for a cool twist if Batman knew about it ahead of time. Fighting Sinestro from the inside and what not...

That isn't Batman's style. For one thing, Sinestro isn't his problem. And I doubt Sinestro would allow one of his rings to turn against him. I can't imagine he would let Batman stay in his Corps if he found out about it.

Also Batman doesn't know how the ring may affect his mind and whatnot, he wouldn't trust it.

Fair enough, I mean, Sinestro vs. Mongol pretty much showed that Qwardian rings don't really work when you're fighting against Sinestro. Batman's always felt a touch inconsistent to me as to "who he cares to fight against" but maybe I'm mixing my Justice League animated and my comics up.

As if Marvel doesn't bring people back from the dead all the time as well.

I wonder if the relaunch will allow Mongul to come back.

Give it some more time, they could still bring him back. I mean, they brought Barry back to life, after being dead since the first crisis, in '85.

Oh, LtM, I finally got my hands on a copy of Zero Hour: Crisis in Time, not sure why that's so hard to find. It was a cool story, but it took forever to build up to Paralax.
