The is the official Nintendo Pokemon Video Game tournament. Around last May I made the Top 8 in a US Regional event to qualify for the National tournament. Right now, I think I more or less have my team finalized so I'm just working out plans for different scenarios. If I can finish in the Top 8 at the US Nationals, I'll get an invite to World Championships in San Diego.

Yep. It's a double battle format with Unova Pokemon only. You and your opponent reveal 6 Pokemon to each other and then you both choose 4 for the actual battle.

Double Battles should be interesting this year because of the nerf to Explosion/Selfdestruct. Should be.

I'm trying to think of DB strategies using only unova pokemon.

I'd probably end up using a rain team.

i would probably have that one combo with beat up and w/e in my group of 6.

Then never use those two pokemon to throw the opponent off.

I almost went, but my ride had to back out. I would have been playing in the TCG national championship instead though.
