In brief, it's a puzzle game where you combine elements in reactors to create different products. If you like puzzle games at all then you owe it to yourself to get this game. It's one of those fantastic things that's simple in premise, yet gets incredibly challenging.

View the videos and stuff, and you can play the demo first also.

Also, one of the prizes in the Summer Camp promotion is SpaceChem DLC, so you can get these bonus missions completely free!

I seriously cannot recommend this enough if you're into games like this at all.

dear lord...

i love science

i love puzzle games

this looks like a prime example of how things should not be combined. from what (admittedly little) i have seen, this might as well be called 'programming logic the game: chemistry edition'.

it just really seems odd, because i love knowledge and things that support it, but this game just...looks absolutely boring to me XD

played a few tutorial missions, this kinda reminds me of manufactoria so I'm looking forward to it.

The science aspect really doesn't play into it much. They could be coloured circles for all the difference it would make to the gameplay. The programming logic comparison is much more apt though, often it is a lot of "How can I make X combine with Y except when condition Z" or something like that. And as for the "boredom", like I said, it starts really simple, but gradually builds up into more complex mechanisms.

Added you Dante, and yeah, I'd also played Manufactoria a few months before finding this, and also found them to be quite similar.

I thought about getting this, but I know I'd really just want it for the ticket and tf2 items, and I don't know if I can justify spending $5 on that. >_> But I'll try out the demo anyway
