Like others have said, you're supposed to look in the box first.

It's like how you're supposed to cut a bagel by tossing it up in the air and 360 degree slicing it. It's just common knowledge.

I've done it a time or two. I really dislike Kraft Mac and Cheese and rarely had it between the ages seven and twenty-five. Now my daughter enjoys it so every once in a while I'll make it for her and the first time I did I totally blanked on the fact that there was a cheese packet. Can't say I raged over it. More or less it was a "Oh feces! I forgot that was in there" moment.
