Been downloading apps a lot, and they are awesome. Some apps I downloaded are:
-AAA Roadside -AIM -Amazon.com -AndroIRC -Angry Birds -App 2 SD -Dropbox -ES File Explorer and File Manager -Evernote -Facebook -GasBuddy -JuiceDefender -JuicePlotter -MyCar Locator -Newegg -Pandora -QR Droid -Shazam -Speed Test (speedtest.net) -Tip Calc -TV Guide -Whitepages -Yahoo! Mail -Other apps that allow me to use my smartphone to do dumb things (Thanks for that idea, Geico)
I now used up half my space and have 70 MB remaining, even after moving stuff to my SD card. Anything I am missing?
google sky map is awesome for finding any celestial thing you might want to find (the north star being a good one if lost) dice wars is just the best strategy game thingy for general time wasting, though the phone version isn't *quite* as good as the flash or .exe versions of the game yelp is awesome if you need to find a place to eat periodic droid just makes for a nice reference if you ever need to like..suddenly know what tungsten is used for >_>;; nyan cat is nyan cat compass is alright if lost flashlight is good for obvious reasons, though since you lack a flash that sorta dampens things, but eh...always the low tech method of just using a lit up phone screen >_>
There is no shame in not knowing; the shame lies in not finding out
Handcent SMS is good if you want a better text app. handyCalc is a really nice calculator. Aside from the regular stuff it does graphs and solves equations and stuff. Movies is good if you go to theaters a lot and want to know show times and stuff. Listen is great if you listen to a lot of podcasts. All the -oid emulators which aren't on the market anymore, but are pretty easy to find on Google (GBCoid, Nesoid, etc.). Google Voice is amazing for voicemail, and I couldn't imagine going back to the default phone voicemail. 3G Watchdog is great if you're obsessive compulsive like me and like to know how much data you're uploading/downloading even though you have an unlimited data plan. If you don't mind paying for it, PowerAMP is a great music player. Finally, I've been really into Cut the Rope recently, which isn't on the market, but you can get it here: http://www.getjar.com/mobile/75206/cut-the-rope-free-for-google-nexus-one/?ref=0&lvt=1308938806&sid=ceu5es4ppm8060tg&c=8ju5i9xq0yn1reo113%C3%A3%C2%80%C2%88=en
Question: If I buy apps on this phone, can I transfer them to another phone later? Not planning to buy a new phone for at least a year, but just wondering in case something happens to my phone or if I want to replace it sooner.
Unless one of those programs already does this. Advanced Task Killer.
My phone at least has a horrible habit of running a gazillion and one programs in the background even after I close them. Or more annoyingly, running a ton of programs in the background even when I haven't even opened them in the first place (or have previously killed them).
