I call that a good contest.


For those who missed the news, Majora's Mask not only impressed against but beat A Link to the Past in IGN's contest. That's a pretty huge upset as far as I'm concerned, so Epona-doubters need to take some notice! Barring an incredible upset by Wind Waker, Epona will be in both games at IGN's championship and thus the game crowned champion.

We still can't say what this means for Epona specifically, but it's hard to think she'll be a pushover at this point -- especially with LoZ:OoT3D coming in about a month. Has there been any word about whether or not she'll be in LoZ:SS yet?

Epona's game crushes the King of Red Lions's game, and -- while Epona's smaller appearance won out afterall -- we still see TP did a fine job.

This is now the second site that had Epona's main three games be three of the LoZ-franchise's top four games (with LttP being the exception both times). GameFAQs proved it first, and now IGN's in the club too. I'm curious if G4 would have done the same thing too, since they just had LoZ win their series-contest recently.

This assumes WW wasn't inaccurately SFF'd below TP due to facing OoT or MM. You might be able to make an argument with MM on this site, but trying to get any strong comparisons through OoT (for WW or TP-through-MM) is very difficult, especially off GameFAQs where we have nearly no other references to make.


Whatever the case, Epona's games have been proving themselves lately.
