I was limping for a good week or two til my parents got the chance to take me to the hospital and they had to surgery it out. When I put my weight on it, at first I thought it was a hair splinter because I get those from time to time (my dog has thick hair, so occasionally one of the hairs will stick into the bottom of my foot. It's uncomfortable but not a big deal). When I looked at it I could see a skin flap. When I lifted the skin flap it was all shiny and sparkly under there.
