If you feel like watching it, then sure.

If you dont, then no, it isnt worth it.

It's fine, but not different enough to justify rewatching the show if that wasn't already something that interests you.

Actually no.

It removes the actual filler episodes and tightens up the script a bit, but most of the canon stuff is still dragged out.

I mean do you want to watch Dragon Ball Z?
I find it kinda odd you haven't watched it yet, being that it's over 30 years old.

The charging up stuff and the staring are definitely still there. All Kai really did was take out the filler episodes and condenses some of the dialog to make it closer to the manga. And brightened up the contrast.

If I remember correctly, they completely changed the music for the show, and it almost feels more lighter now.

It has Saiyaman, but the initial run of DBZ:Kai was a special Japan thing that only went up to the Cell Saga. America picked up post-Cell saga stuff and were given really shitty cels to remaster and despite being hailed as better quality, has a really glaring and shitty green sheen over every single shot that makes it look like complete shit from Saiyaman - End.

If you want DBZ without filler its honestly a great experience to read the manga. I've definitely complained about Toriyama using the same dozen character designs for 40 years but his art (especially his backgrounds) does justify how popular his stuff is. DBZ has a really fast pace in the manga too. It takes literally three panels for Goku to go super saiyan, for example. Not that the anime dragged it out but the Raditz arc is like 30 pages. Kai brings the original anime closer to that but its not a one-to-one recreation.

Id say its worth watching if youve never seen it before.

It's pretty much a better watch than the original DBZ but if you have seen every episode of OG DBZ it doesn't offer much new. Removing quite a few filler episodes and altering the story a bit to be a bit quicker is nice, but it doesn't drastically change DBZ.

They also still do have charging up the main thing they cut down on is random filler episodes that offer nothing of note, those episodes where they taunt each other about how much more powerful they can become, and then spend half or all an episode charging up.

Watch Team Four Star instead

It does knock out roughly 120ish episodes from the original DBZ so watching it takes a much smaller time commitment.
