Isn't Panera supposed to be the premium brand?

Fast food has almost become pointless. They've raised their prices so much more than fast-casual and sit down restaurants.

subway was always pricey outside of the $5 footlong deals. plus their subs are legit smaller than 6/12 inch and barely any meat unless you pay for extra but then you're paying like $15 for a sub.

even fast food burger joints are like $10-15 for most meals now. can get cheaper food from a coney island or some bars.

You try to make it sound good, but since it is Subway we're talking about, I know it still has less taste than cardboard.

Fast food needed a labor market that doesn't exist anymore.

If you have to pay "grownup" wages now, there's no reason whatsoever to bother with teenagers.

i havent been to subway in years so i cant speak to the prices, but i can confidently say that nothing will come close to panera prices.

if you're going to pay $17 for a you-pick-two (half sandwich or cup of soup or salad), chips, and bread, then just go to a fucking restaurant. good lord

I saw a commercial for the new chefs chicken sandwich on tv for Panera and was about to order it through the app and give it a try. I kid you not the sandwich alone cost $10.99. Thats the sandwich only, no drink, no side included. Fuck no.

Theres a local sub place here that has amazing subs for about $11 (depending on the sub and extra toppings and stuff, it can be more, but thats pretty much the standard price). Its packed to the absolute brim with food and the ingredients are top tier for a semi-fast food joint.

Then theres the Subway down the street. It charges $2 more for a similar sandwich, and they give you a dinky piece of shit, more bread then fillings sandwich and it tastes like trash.

Its always completely baffling to me when the sub place has like one or two cars outside it while the Subway is packed. Nobody should ever pick the Subway over the other place.

I feel as though this trend is occurring damn near everywhere too. Like I can get an amazing burger at Five Guys for about $10. Or I can go to a McD and get a value meal for virtually the same price, but the Five Guys is so much better, that youd be an absolute fool to not just pay the extra buck and get a really good meal

Taco bell is more expensive than the "Texmex" restaurants in my area. Those restaurants also have bottomless chips and salsa if you dine in, or they give you a bag of free chips on take out orders.

The only good deals I see is using the Burger King app, they let you use coupons at will. Whopper meal is $5 in my app.
