I get flak for this. Has nothing to do with him. His music (irrespective of his character) is noise at best and headache-inducing at worst. I don't do this on purpose. I have zero control over how I respond to music. I just wanna know who else is this way, or something resembling this way

It depends, how old are you? It would be weird if you were a child/teen in the 80's. But If you are 20, it wouldn't be that odd.

Yes and no. It's a somewhat rare opinion, but it's an opinion you're entitled to nonetheless. Nothing is universally liked.

Plenty of his songs are super dated, tbh. And I thought that when I first started listening to them in the 2000's too. His first album is literal disco after all.

I don't really like MJ songs either. There are some that everyone knows like Thriller and I can see why one might like it but I'm not going to go out of my way to listen to Thriller.
