I hadn't played Yakuza Like a Dragon in about three weeks since I beat it. In that time, I took the disk out, put in another one, and played a few different games. Today I put Yakuza back in and within 10 seconds was right where I left off three weeks ago.

Wish PS5 did something like that. Does quick resume only work if you use rest mode?

I always put my Xbox into sleep mode, which I'm assuming is the same thing, so I can't say from own experience. But reporters have said that it still works after hard resets and even unplugging the Xbox and plugging it back in.

Frankly, I'm not at all impressed with it.

Because there's literally no indication of which games will use it and which won't, and it's irritating as hell because of it.

And even games that do use it aren't consistent about it.

No. You could unplug it for a few weeks and still quick resume. The only games ive noticed not using it are ones requiring constant online connections

That is super sick. I'll probably get an X when Halo releases.

I have power saving mode on mine and It's worked consistently for me, I press go to the dashboard and power the console off. The only quirk I run into with my series X is the controller disconnecting randomly after removing the charging cable for the official power pack.

Dragon Quest XI playtime counter doesnt really work well with it (though the game does). Thinks I have played the game for 200 hours. Seems to count standby mode as playtime.

The fact that there's no indication if a game is using it, no way to control if a game will or won't use it, and the inconsistency with whether or not a game uses it, is just ridiculous. I'm amazed more people and reviewers haven't mentioned that issue.

Why would you want to control it?

Because roughly 2/3rds of the time it just doesn't activate. It's completely random, and it's super annoying not knowing if it's going to work.

For me its more 1/5 of the time it doesnt work.

They have stated though that if you play a lot of games it will start to remove some to make room and it makes sense. Also I think it removes it if the game is updated which also makes sense
