The UK is actually pretty far ahead of the curve when it comes to social justice issues, at least as pertains to the actual population and their perception. Certainly way farther down that road than the US is, and much more so than many other places.

The only thing (aside from more affordable healthcare overall) that the UK has on the US in terms of Gender Affirming treatment, is that the UK (and EU) allow a medication to be prescribed that is actually designed to be an anti-androgen. The only reason it's not available in the US is that the US doesn't import prescription medication.

We didn't just sign law preventing trans kids from getting treatment, unlike England...

I already said when referring to the UK I was referring to government powers and popular influencers. Just because transphobia doesn't wear the face of "religious right" like it does in the US doesn't mean it doesn't exist. In the UK it's groups who call themselves "radical feminist" who are the most vocal about it, and JK Rowling is one of them.

If you took my criticism of Parliament, London Police, and the most famous British author since Shakespeare and took away "TC thinks British people aren't progressive" idk what to tell you.

For that matter, discrimination and prejudice don't have to be that serious to qualify as discrimination/prejudice. A man who is beaten up for being white is no less a victim of a racist hate crime than one who is beaten up for being black. Cisphobia is just as valid a concept as transphobia. It's just not an appreciable systemic problem (while transphobia is).

I dont think I know enough transgender people that I could spend time with only them. But, I also spend a lot of time with cisgender people at work...

Also, for people with one or more penises, if you put a bell on it, youll be able to hear the bell to know its still there...

I've met a handful. Actually "dated" a tom boy who is now full trans back when a kid. It really doesn't bother me what walk of life folk lead providing it's legal and even then I'm open minded.
