Just saw the trailer just to see if it's as bad as that makes it sound, it's not really. I mean some of the girls are wearing clothes they shouldn't be, but that's happening in real life too. There was no kids twerking, it looks like a typical coming of age story with girls in a dance group. It didn't come off exploitative or overtly sexual.

We do salvation army angel tree at work for the Christmas season. We don't know anything about the kids other than name, gender, age, and sizes. So maybe once every other year I end up going shopping for little girl clothes and it's really fucking depressing. The shit I see on display is just not appropriate for 6-7 year old girls. Like why the fuck do they even make lace top camisoles for 1st graders.

It literally takes me hours to find something modest.

Rotten Tomatoes gave it some decent reviews at 82% and Metacritic pretty much doesnt like it at 60%. Plus, critics are hardly reliable sources if a movie is good or not anymore. So many times the critics go the opposite direction in ratings compared to the general audience. This is after throwing out movies with controversy

Pointing to a trailer that shows all of less than 1 percent of the movie to make the argument the movie is fine seems silly.

I don't know of if the movie is going too far, if it'll be weird, if the kids will be too sexualized, whatever, but I don't think I can make that call based off of the trailer.
