Been making stovetop popcorn as a snack for the last month and it's so much better. And cheaper. And healthier.

Really there's almost no downside to it. It only takes like 30 seconds to clean the pot afterwards. Highly recommend if you've never done it. I usually just use olive oil and season with salt and a touch of pepper.

Get an air popper.. those 2 tbls of oil to heat 1/2 ( or was it 1/4? ) a cup of kernels starts to add up

Same just started doing it a few months ago. Was using a big wok type pan but tried using a metal mixing bowl that's easier to shake.

The only advantage for microwave is the bag.
I totally agree though. It pops relatively fast once it gets going and the control over how much corn to butter is perfect.
