OK now let's assume I didn't wanna go over $300 or $400

That's the type of chair I would get if I didn't already have school loans to still pay off

I've recently done a little bit of chair research, although I stopped as one kind of fell into my lap, but if you're willing to spend a little there's some nice options out there, even for bigger folk.

One of the more basic Herman Miller chairs was one of the ones I had my eye on.

Generally speaking, look for a chair that's rated for 50 lbs above your weight. Broadly speaking these big and tall chairs should be able to handle 350-500 lbs. Anything less and it might as well be a normal chair.

There are sites that list the top x computer chairs for big and tall people, but a lot of them quickly seem to go off topic or recommend some sketchy options. Still, some of them are a good first look that you can then type in specific models into youtube and whatnot to get a better idea if it is a right fit for you.

That looks pretty reasonable to me. I particularly like that the base is all metal as well as the stated weight limit being 500 lbs. The included vibration is probably gonna be more gimmicky than anything truly amazing, but all in all it looks ok. The big qualm I have is that the Q&A section highlights the fact that many have not yet gotten their chairs after weeks of waiting. There also seems to be some quality control issues some folks have encountered.

On a budget, it's definitely one I'd consider, but I'd do a little more shopping around first before I'd settle on it.

I bought this one a few months ago. Not my best chair but its serviceable.

Beware the random Amazon chairs, reviews basically say the random chinese manufacturers are incredibly inconsistent with what they actually give you. I got scared off of basically all of them.

I got mine at Staple's. I couldn't tell you the name of the model, but I could certainly look through their catalog and find it if you wanted.
