they make fun of it. its a really good podcast but it can be depressing at times because you see how older people buy into qanon and it tears them away from their families

I am so bummed about YouTube deleting and/or changing the conspiracy video algorithm. I understand that they're worried about more people being radicalized but that was the perfect background noise for me, just pure entertainment. I miss falling asleep on the couch only to wake up in the middle of a narrator wondering aloud if the sunken island of Mu is related to the reptilians hiding in the Vatican City.

QAnon is quite literally a cult.

But the TLDR version is this:

QAnon believes that there is a Deep State, a collection of very powerful but shadowy overlords that are basically the Illuminati but with a different name because that's played out.

The Deep State has ties with major power brokers in business and industry, and are involved in systemic crimes against humanity, particularly sex trafficking of minors. Hence Pizzagate.

And they know all this because a single anonymous poster on 4chan (who got dozens of predictions wrong) said so.

Donald Trump is aware of the Deep State and every action he does is covertly in opposition to the Deep State, or something.

Basically, they believe the world is a Michael Bay / Jerry Bruckheimer production.

which is why i dont universally hate them and often feel bad for them. a lot of them are the mentally ill or just people who are disenfranchised and scared and easy to take advantage of

QAnon Anonymous is great. I would recommend starting with episode 63, Battle of 8chan. They bring on the founder of 8chan, Fredrick Brennan, to talk about why he built the site, how he's changed since then and the drama that led to him leaving the site, and how the guy who took over is fully on board with the white supremacist dialogue, mass shooting livestreams, and everything to do with "Q" for the purpose of keeping the grift train going.
