Personally I just go by a few trusted sources for a general idea. Like I love Dunkey, but I know his reviews on JRPGs are going to suck, even if he has a lot of valid points. But if you want a more specific viewpoint you should find a reviewers you trust or has similar viewpoints to yourself. It's really not that hard. User reviews are often vulnerable to review bombing. Especially exclusives. Even Astral Chain got review bombed.
