The political unrest between people and police/government, the fight for healthcare for those who can't afford it, racism, environment, gun control..america has been in this vicious cycle for a long time and still nothing has happened..all while trying to avoid a PANDEMIC that is STILL ravaging across the country...while up north, Canada is just trying to SURVIVE the pandemic and if cases keep rising in the states, the border might be closed for a long time!!..

The last time Canada had a riot was in 2011 because of some silly hockey game and even that was tame compared to what happens in the US..and you never see protests against canadian police like you see down in the south!. Sure there is racists in Canada but that's why there's a hate speech law that puts these people in their place...while america let's free speech run rapid without consequences

80% of canadians support a ban on AR-15s and America can't even pass a simple gun control bill to LIMIT gun sales to people

canadians fought for tax funded healthcare while america is still propping up it's insurance companies

majority of canadians support a lockdown to prevent a pandemic while you have thousands of americans going on streets and businesses reopening to further the disease.

not to mention, the liberal government is spending billions on keeping companies and people afloat with wage subsidies, rent relief, 2000 monthly payment until august, pay raises for essential workers, elderly bonus money...and this isn't cheap either, but canadians would rather the government spend to keep people alive than not do anything..whlie americans get a one time payment and a "good luck" message.
