We have to wait until the hormones drop to zero which could take 4-6 weeks and then they will finally start running tests to figure out what is wrong because apparently that isn't something they were allowed to do after two miscarriages despite our asking.

Oh and the Facebook feed full of fuckwits having children too early and on accident doesn't help with morale.

Sucks dude, I've dealt with a miscarriage and abortion, it's just rough stuff that lots of people go through and then pretend it doesn't happen.

Sometimes women have ovens that need a little more warming up than others. Hope the next time is the one that lights that flame and starts your baby life

Has adoption ever been considered here or are you guys determined to have your own kid? I dont know a better term to use there.

We wanted them to test and find out what's wrong first.

So we'll either look into that or we'll commit to being the fun aunt/uncle that travel the world in lieu of children.

Really sorry to hear this. I knew someone who he and his wife tried hard to have kids with similar results. It took their fourth or fifth try if I remember right, but their child is healthy and happy.

There's nothing I can say to make it easier, but I hope for the best for you and your wife.

I have known two couples that have dealt with major problems conceiving, both of them finally got there after many tries, and in one of the couples case nearly a decade of spending money trying.

The family kinds of jokes about the one that took a decade of money spent that she is the $20,000 baby.

And I'm sorry if I came off too angry in the opening post, that's the anger I was feeling at the time. We got a couple weeks further into the pregnancy this time (still less than 2 months) and we thought this one was going to be different.

There's never a one true or proper way to grieve or vent when it comes to stuff like this, it's always going to vary from person to person.

We told her family yesterday and mine today.

Her family was a lot of "have patience, keep trying", but that's difficult to hear because we're both 34 and we know that from a purely biological standpoint we're on the precipice of the stark dropoff in pregnancy viability. There's really no "right" way to react to the news though I guess.

Know you've heard it before but society doesn't talk about it, things like this are way more common than anyone admits. I'm pretty sure I was like a 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 or something like that. So hold on to your hopes for as long as you can.

Also don't jump the gun I know for a fact you are still 33. We're all already old dont go adding years early.

I'm so so sorry, not that this means anything and I mean no offence by it but my mom had me when she was 39 so the option is there still. But I understand whatever decision you make with it.
