So apparently Cody Rhodes liked a tweet telling Sami Zayn to go back to Canada if he hates Donald Trump and Dustin put out then deleted a tweet about ending the shutdown.

Well then.

And Cody said he accidentally liked it, and he wasn't even sure how serious that tweet was.

And Dustin just seems like he's not informed enough, like a lot of people. Dude is old as hell and has always had dated views, but he's changed a lot of those views over the years positively.

If a dude who has never leaned that way politically randomly liked a tweet like that about someone he considers a friend like Sami Zayn said he accidentally liked that Tweet, I'm willing to believe it.

And Dustin's tweet was dumb. And he deleted it. And I'm sure he was informed better from other people in his own company that are currently doing stay at home. I'm less judgmental towards people who Tweet stuff about wanting to open back up because a lot of lives are being destroyed right now due to the economic issues and I personally do work for companies and businesses who probably won't recover from this. I don't agree with opening up now, and I have a lot of issues with how this has been handled on a federal level, but there's very real reasons that people want to open back up with the idea of trusting everyone to be safe about it, even if it's not fully informed.

If they were both in WWE, I would say the same thing and I don't know why that's a point.

I don't really buy that Cody "accidentally" liked it since he basically went on to defend the twitter account in question.

Also, Cody's old Twitter account has some pro Trump/anti-immigrant/etc. stuff on it. It's possible he has changed, but I don't think there's any real reason to give him the benefit of the doubt.

That said, it's also not like he doubled down on it or anything, so I think this is a "That's stupid" and move on situation.

Overnight ratings for last night's SmackDown are in and -- for the first time on FOX -- the show fell below two million viewers for both hours.

The final average was 1.919 million viewers. The show averaged 1.941 million viewers in hour one and fell two percent to 1.896 million in the second hour.

In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown averaged a 0.5 rating, matching last week for the lowest the show has done in that category since debuting on FOX. That trailed everything on network TV last night except for a repeat 20/20 special on ABC and tying with an episode of The Blacklist on NBC. SmackDown usually wins that demo, but the show has lost about 20 percent of its viewership since the move to closed set episodes.

The show averaged just a 0.2 rating in the 18-34 category, trailing everything on network TV except for 20/20.

So apparently on Talk is Jericho, FTR said that those designs for the comedy act were legit AND they said they were absolutely willing to do them for the remainder of their contract, but made their intentions clear they were not re-signing in June unless the money was "way high".

We could show different sides and different levels of charisma, which we never got a chance to do, even though we asked a lot.
We told them straight up, and I think this was when they realized we werent bluffing or trying to negotiate a higher number, we looked at them as said, Here is the deal, these are not good. But we will do this until our contracts expire. Well do whatever you want. Well give 100% and have fun with it. But when our contracts expire, were not re-signing. Theres no way were staying past June.
That was Friday at SmackDown. On Wednesday, we got a phone call saying we were pulled from everything. The numbers that have been reported contract-wise, $750,000 a year or whatever, it was higher than that. It was more than that for us to do the clown, Cat in the Hat, Flava Flav stuff. We said, well do this until our contracts expire, but were not re-signing for any amount of money unless its way up there.
When they first described it, it was were doing this out of spite. Tag teams dont get the respect they deserve and they have to be a comedy act to get TV time, which is true. Most tag teams who get TV time do comedy and if youre more serious, youre considered not charismatic. So its us taking the piss out of how we perceived the division being disrespected. Its not terrible when its on paper. I dont know how it would have been executed as the weeks roll on, but us doing [the comedy act] out of spite to be upset about how tag team wrestling is disrespected, I was okay with it. We could have had fun with it and probably made decent money. I dont know if theres a long shelf life or if wed be above super-low card comedy.

this would be nice but i don't think it's anything this principled - it's just, how can you watch empty arena wrestling? it's abysmal, from any company. i'm sure i'm not the only person who's just taken the stance that I will watch wrestling when there are fans again, but until then I'll do other things (like watch old wrestling!)

I can buy this. They needed to do something with Mandy and Sonya eventually (because LOL TAG TEAMS AMIRITE). Not sure either will breakout and be Women's Champion one day (Mandy more likely), but they were just "there." I will always support changing one's alignment or approach IF WWE actually give them some time to work with it. Guess they met Vince when he woke up on the right side of the bed, because they actually have a decent storyline here.

NXT is a success because it finally got a TV deal which made it profitable for the first time in its entire existence and it's siphoning views away from AEW. That's all it really needs to do for Vince to be happy.
