Im thinking of holding off on AMRN one more day. I dont see a massive rebound after just one day.

SHIP is another dweller waiting for a correction.

AMNR up 5% after hours. I swear if this blows up tomorrow...

Still could be! there's always risks but I made a decent amount today with rcl and eri and decided to toss my coin into the fountain.

If you didn't buy low on cruise and casino they'll be volatile til at least the winter season.

I just read Vanguards trading policy and apparently they have a penalty for excessive day trading / market timing, where they can deny a transaction. Maybe its time for a new app...

you can blow through some good faith violations quickly if you dont know what youre doing

As long as your funds resolve properly at the end of the day and you have 25k in equity on the account you should be fine for day trading.

^^ I read that was the case for Robinhood. But I dont see in Vanguards description about the $25k criterion. Ill call them tomorrow.

I just checked with Vanguard and there are no rules restricting the frequency at which you can trade stocks so long as the money youre using has settled. There are restrictions, however, with Vanguard funds.

He didnt sound like the smartest guy so Im going to ensure I have $25k in the account at all times just in case.

AMRN only up 7% so far. Not the huge spike I expected but its early.

Chris, if you thought 29 was low for RCL I imagine youre investing a lot in them after today?

I sold most of my 29 dollar rcl stock at 32 yesterday to invest in amrn today

I will be monitoring both stocks closely, but likely I will be flipping that transaction today probably.

AMRN was up 10% at one point. Might get higher, who knows with that one. Do you think the cruise ones will rebound tomorrow? Im thinking it might take on Friday.

Not sure, as I told you I am not *much* of a day trader I just like to place the majority of my money in stocks at this point I know will be 'pretty good' long term investments. My partner has a lot of money in rcl that was in the high 30s but I am not stressed because she doesn't check stocks daily or anything so it's fine there.

Well it tanked 8 dollars yesterday after bad news so I am looking for it to recover a dollar of that but the market is also horrific today so....

(it is one of the only stocks I monitor that's positive lol)

I would take anything above 7% honestly. Its liable to drop back to 4.10 and I dont see it going above 4.50 but the market has only been open 45 mins. I was going to take a look at it at the end of business, and if its lower than 4.20 I was going to strongly consider investing.

If I were you, I would put continuous Stops every time it goes up to ensure you dont get burned.

I feel like it going up despite the market being in the tank this morning is a good sign for it

I also play it a lot safer than Chris which has burned me (in terms of not netting more). I also dont know as much as he does.

Yeah I bought in at 3.99 and have a stop at 4.20 so if it goes down I still made a few hundred bucks :O

MFA was like that too. That happens to the ones that hit so low and bottom out at a price that is not aligned with the actual price of the company, so they correct regardless of the daily trend.

Basically it has no real reason to ever return to 4 dollars, the blow it suffered yesterday was horrific and shocking but they are well positioned to weather and fight it. Dont know the upside but the downside would be really weird if it got any lower than that gut punch. I literally bought it 4 cents shy of its 52 week low.

I felt there was a less-than-likely-but-still-possible chance that it would drop another 10-20% before going up tomorrow. Looks like I misplayed it but oh well.

I mean if it makes you feel better I lost about a thousand bucks at the height of MFA betting it a bit too high (I bought shares at like 2.20 and had to sell them off at 1.90) I mean I still ended up waaaaay ahead but not all of my calls pan out, I am not superman!

Like since I started investing this most recent round with my own money I am at 49% gains for the month., to give you a full view of everything. Some huge wins, a few big losses, but that's where I sit.

I sold my AAL at a fairly significant loss (stimulus didn't help it and I don't see it doing anything but dropping from here) to put more into ARMN so hoping I can recoup my loss and then some here. I think I'm gonna hope for $5 minimum especially since the market as a whole is rebounding a bit now too

Hey, nobody has a 100% winning record! I have yet to lose any money but I definitely left a LOT on the table from premature selling.

AMRN guys, upgrade your Stops to 4.30

Airlines make sense to invest in, but I have a hunch that this pandemic will be the end of cruise ships. Between the absolute cesspools that cruise ships are, and the environment concerns they bring up, I can't see a lot of cruise ship companies surviving.

I cant imagine an entire industry going extinct. I feel like a year from now, nobody will care. People who enjoy cruises will still be going on them at least once a year, etc. Thats my opinion.

ARMN has stopped bucking the market trend at this point and seems to be bending to its will. Thinking 5 might be a bit ambitious. The market is down though so maybe like 4.50

Put your stop at 4.30! Dont lose what you made, just in case.

You can update your stops though! You only lose if it dips below your stop and then rises way up.

It totally could do that though! This is a rough morning.
