I could take the corrik approach of just saying "##vote see you day 2" to start the game and then wait until there's an entire night/morning of content to dig into anything. Or I could do the gravy "just avoid chris and sheep him to appease him" and you know, I'd probably live longer. But you know what, I think those approaches are both mind numbingly boring and cowardly. When I'm scum I'm gonna try to emulate my town self. And when I'm town I'm not gonna deliberately hold myself back just to make my scum games easier. If I have to get burned by chris 5 times before I work it out then that is just what it takes. I could not give less of a fuck about losing a mafia game to Chris. He is ridiculously better than me. Who cares. I'll keep at it until I improve.

I had no idea a role like Ulti's could have even existed, and assumed if anything it would be some sort of night action that targeted specific dead town at night. Spirit channelers can only channel one person at a time. My response to Hb was:

If it were later in the game, maybe, but I'm not sparing two weeks of effort for this level of purpose.

I actually did join the chat after poking my head into topic 7 and seeing it become a talking point. It was the first time I had looked at a topic since night 1.

I show occasional flashes of brilliance but I'm highly volatile. Out of game events affect my play very easily because I need to be in an optimal psychological condition to handle the game. I would've been an outright detriment to the game on day 3.

But I'm also a natural tunneler and just don't let people go unless they give me a reason to do it. All Death ever did was dig the hole deeper, so there was no way I was going to let him go.

I know I don't have the temperament for it, but it's part of why I made myself do it to begin with. There are critical parts of my personality I never show in this community because I've learned it isn't safe to do so. That imbalance is a big part of why I need to be psychologically "set" before I can play, and why it's so easy for out of game events to make me go haywire in game. Learning to find a way to survive in this environment has ultimately proven to be a helpful endeavor as far as my overall mental stability is concerned.

Like, I mentioned when going to bed early in the game I was turning off "adult" mode and going to bed hugging my llama. You can take that sentence at face value.

I dislike overly strong safelists so I can't get too down on that. Heck I've won two games as scum/SK by claiming stuff that isn't safelisred.

Ulti's role was broken though. Entertaining read but broken.

Also 5tarscream saying he was saying to lynch red's tracker claim in literature mafia and not me when he had a power role when I just did it off pure read was a total scumtell !!

Actually, on another note.

You posting a vote for Han and saying STOP there... I'd think a scum you would have actually been up to date with the votals... and I really didn't see the universe where HB would let a scum get away with that so... yeah. >_>

Also Han was dead the moment he got caught not reading role PM's. I know Han pays close attention to town and I know when I actually read my role PM I was like "Fuck my role is worthless" No way that was going over his head as I'm someone that absolutely tends to not read most of my role PM's beyond the essential portions.

This is a really weird thing to think.

I've missed things in my role PM's before, and this particular instance wouldn't even be reading a role PM, it's reading the flip after end of day, which would be unnecessary because it says "Roleblocker".

Also, Hb, don't take hosting issues too hard. My first game I ever hosted was like, 45 people, and there ended up being incorrect night action results sent back so I had to end it early.

One small thing that was a little iffy balance-wise that I don't think anybody said was that Scum power roles, Roleblocker and Flavor Cop, both had counterparts in the Town. It's a little limited in claim space, so that sort of thing should be considered for the future.
