I just kept doing the Olympus Colleseus Battlegate 1 over and over. Each run takes like a minute and you get like 1.75 levels per run I'd say. I put on a podcast and just zoned out for an hour

I think I liked using one of the final Battlegates, in San Fransokyo on the roof. 12 I think it was? That's where I hit 99, I forget how many actual levels I did there but it was a fair few at least

Is that the one where you're on the top of a building and enemies spawn on a top and bottom floor? That one was a little too much of a hassle for me. With Battle gate 1 it goes like this:

Use Ultima shotlock on the first wave of enemies and it completely wipes them
Thundaga spam around the arena until you run out of MP
Do another ultima shotlock to wipe out everything else
Clean up stragglers

Honestly I think the loading time between retries took longer than the actual battle gate did to complete

So I had started my first critical playthrough the other day and only made it to TT, so I decided to start over after getting Oathkeeper and wanting to try out the EZ Codes. And so now I'm on my rerun and I'm like 99% sure this is harder than it was the first time. Literally every single attack 1 shots me, whereas before I was taking 2 hits or maybe even occasionally 3 before dying. It's actually really frustrating cause I have to literally play perfect with no mistakes or else face loading times... :/

So has anyone else heard anything about rebalancing of critical or using the EZ cheats causes you to take more damage or something? I just can't figure it out.

Limit Cut bosses beated!

The secret boss was a little too much. I'm not sure I'll have the patience to beat him, especially after I've watched the ending online.

I'm 11/13 in Limitcut. Last night got a bit frustrated because I was 2/13 (YX and Dark Riku) and got stuck on Saix and Vanitas. Eventually got them down today and the rest went down pretty quickly. I'd say Saix has been hardest so far.

Ok this makes me feel a bit better because wow his last like 4-5 bars have been giving me trouble. I get him down to that relatively easily and then he starts doing the stun stuff and REALLY going hard and boy oh boy. I'm only at 4/13 so far, but every one I've tried I've beaten up to Saix so far. Marlixia gave me a little bit of time but I mixed up my strategy a bit and then he went down.

The only ones who gave me any trouble were Xemnas, Xehanort-Terra, Master Xehanort, and 13th

The rest I beat in less than 5-10 tries. I actually beat Marluxia, Larxene, Saix, and Ansem on the first try.

If you spent a lot of time playing the Triple Nort fight, the Norts here weren't that tough to figure out. But Saix in Berserk is just so demanding on Critical.

It's harder and more fun than Lingering Will for me, without the cheapness of Mysterious Figure. You can learn to avoid everything but you have to deal with way more moves than Lingering Will. The Desperation Move is also much longer and varied.

Back Cover covers basically nothing of Union X except the premise. Notice how it's called "X Back Cover" and not "Union X Back Cover?" Union X was a major update to the mobile game Unchained X that introduced a ton of new, whacky and likely soon-to-be-critical plot points, many of which are alluded to in KH3.

You're playing a mobile game that's a couple years old. They're gonna throw all kinds of stuff at you after years of new mechanics and layers of progression.

I actually heard that KHUX isn't doing that well financially anymore, so unless Disney forces Square Enix to keep it up (which is something they clearly don't do given by their track record of Marvel mobile games), I don't think it'll be around much longer after this year.

The main point of gacha games is pulling cool cards and having them do cool things. I pulled a bunch of 7 star cards with nonsense passive abilities like this:

1 turn: 7 STR, U- & PSM-STR, SP ATK B +80%, targets' -7 DEF, U- & PSM-DEF, -2 PSM-STR. Count +1. HP MAX. Gauge +10. Cures status ailments.

I get that this isn't a new game but how do they expect new players to jump into this game?

Gacha games also aren't exactly geared towards new players though, I thought they were mostly geared towards what keeps existing players spending. DBZ Dokkan Battle and FE Heroes (the only 2 gachas I've played for any decent amt of time) both have had increasingly lengthy and/or complicated abilities as well. That just seems like a trait of gachas in general, they're just powercreepy.

I been playing Union X for a long while now, took a break here or there but I have ridiculously good cards and i've leveled a ton of them up and yet still when i go into PVP i get rocked by other people because its not just the card, its how you equip it or when you choose to use it in your hand.

It is so fucking convoluted and shit that the game is just not worth playing if you intend to do anything other than find out little snippets of plot that may or may not matter at all.

They are 90% focused on whales and 10% focused on drawing in new whales (but it's much easier to just make a new game to do that anyways)

So I got the Ultima keyblade and quickly grinded to 99. Doing all that made Dark Inferno a joke. Really didn't have to worry about anything, and NOW for some reason I'm strong enough to hit him out his spin move in the third phase so I can actually hit him at the end there. I started the Data fights and, of course, they're a whole different thing.

I think what I am running up against is a fundamental misunderstanding of the block/dodge/attack system. What I am expecting, I think, is something more long the lines of a character action game like Metal Gear Rising or Bayonetta, and that by correctly dodging or blocking attacks you will then gain an opportunity to attack. This doesn't seem to be the case. What it FEELS like is that, certain strings of attacks will leave the bosses vulnerable. If you are in the right place at the right time, you can run up and do a combo. Which particular sets of attacks and how you are supposed to block or dodge to get in a position to actually attack back is unknowable at first. There is no obvious, general tell and only through experimentation will you grasp when to attack. The automatic counters you get from blocking are largely useless, because trying to do a counterattack will just get you killed. You'll counter the middle of their combo, but this won't like stagger them or anything they'll just keep on going. I'm also thinking that having as many attack abilities on that I can at the same time is not a good idea, but honestly the little summary of what they do is so vague I have no idea if they are hindering me or not.
