The fan drive for Geno has always seemed weird to me. GameFAQs loves SMRPG. It would be hard to find a website that loves SMRPG more than we do that isn't a dedicated SMRPG website or group. We don't care much for Geno. I know he keeps running into Square or Nintendo but there's only so much you can damage control a result like this:

Maybe this makes more sense. Like after thinking about it again, Geno shouldn't have been popular even in 2006 when 3rd parties were put on the board and he needed to get his foot in the door before he can rely on inertia. But if Sakurai said that about Geno, I could see that being the foothold Geno needed.

But I mean, a lot more than Geno has been confirmed to have been considered at some point. He's definitely one of the ideas that people have held on to the most.

Guess he forgot Geno exists. A unique Fire Emblem character is probably the best thing Nintendo has left in my opinion.

I can understand being whatever or not caring about Geno, but why would you actively want him not in the game? Just to piss people off and act better than them?

Yeah Geno had a chance earlier, but now it's hard to see him in the game, kind of like Isaac. I think someone from Astral Chain has a better shot than those guys.

Not that I wouldn't mind if they made it.

Yeah, it seems like if you want to go for some character that is no longer relevant, they'll go way back. I'd give someone like Takamaru a better chance than someone like Isaac, unfortunately.

I'm unsure if I wanna go in for the next DLC pass or not. I can't think of many people that would be an actual draw for me that have an actual good shot of getting in, but I like having everybody. Out of this pack I like Joker a lot, Hero is fun to play, and the other three don't (or presumably won't) matter much to me. I feel like at this point we're kinda running into an issue of running out of interesting design space to explore, and on the character side there's not much that's popular that I'm attached to.
