HagenEx 01/07/20 11:09:13 PM #4:	It was entertaining for like... a couple of years, back during the days of Blair Witch Project. But it was only because the term "found footage" hadn't actually become a genre yet. Then the formula became too repetitive with the same jumpscares and effects an it just wasn't the same. The original REC was awesome though, probably my favorite. --- Not changing this sig until The Big Dawg Roman Reigns beats cancer and wins back the Universal Title. The whole point of found footage is it's supposed to look like real footage that was found and released. You can't just sling a handheld camera around and put some fake grain on it so it looks cheap and call it a day. I think the only other horror flick with a better ending is the first Evil Dead's ending. But I like it because it's so simple, it works. It doesn't rely on special effects and shit to try to scare you. The sound, the fear of being alone in the woods, the breakdown in communications between you and your friends, and the paranoia that follows...it's great. That, and the viral marketing for it really helped its visibility, too.
