Obi Wan tells Luke to go see Yoda. He says that Yoda is the one who instructed him in the Jedi arts.

Thoughts?

I mean....yeah.

There was that scene in AotC that shows that Yoda was training all the kids. Presumably the same was true for Obi-Wan.

Yoda did train him. He had more than one teacher.

Luke himself was trained by both Obi-wan and Yoda

Later when Yoda is talking to Obi Wans ghost, yoda mentions how Luke is too angry to become a Jedi, and Obi Wan says so was he, and also that he was reckless when Yoda taught him

so why was Obi Wan angry and reckless as a child?

he was being trained by Qui-Gon At that time.

im talking strictly when Yoda was training him, which was supposed to be when Obi Wan was a kid

edit: I wasnt clear enough in my previous post that when Obi Wan said he was also angry, he was saying he was angry when Yoda had trained him. My bad for not being clear on that

Right. And the fact that he lost his mind with anger when fighting Darth Maul is evidence that he isn't always cool-headed, even during/after the majority of his training, which is a pretty strong suggestion toward being a hot-headed youth as well.

Who isnt hot headed as a child? Thats why when people get overly upset theyre referred to as being childish.

this is in the context of Obi Wan telling Yoda that just like Luke, he was also an angry trainee(which for the purposes of this topic we are assuming he is a child due to the PT), and that Yoda should understand that and not rule out training Luke as a result.

Establishing that, you have to assume that not all children that Yoda has trained, were angry to the degree that Obi Wan is referencing, otherwise, Yoda would have doubted training any and every child and/or refused to train them for being too angry if we are assuming that its just a normal degree of anger/tantrum in any given child.

yes, children throw tantrums and get angry. But I dont think its assumed thy its a normal level of angry that Obi Wan is referring to.

so mainly Im just wondering, why would Obi Wan be so angry as a child ?

Normally Force-sensitive children were identified before they were 6 months, and taken to the Jedi Temple to be trained from such a young age that they wouldnt remember anything before their Jedi training.
Obi-Wan was discovered when he was 3 years old.
Since he was much older than the other kids, he also remembered a life before the Jedi studies, which could make him question stuff that the other kids accepted as truth, which could be seen as troublesome.
As for anger... since he was discovered later, it also means that kids around his age had had a headstart and knew more than him. And even if the Jedi probably didnt supported it, kids will be kids and they most likely teased and bullied him, which made him angry and most likely got him in trouble when he wanted to pay back.

First of all, Jedi were traditionally trained from infancy. They scooped up force sensitive babies and brought them back to the temple. That's why Anakin was ineligible; kids growing older and spending time making attachments with others would get in the way of Jedi teaching. Start em young.

As far as Obi-Wan's history, he was provoked by another student Bruck, who then lied to the masters about Obi-Wan's conduct. That pissed Obi off, he got rejected for Jedi apprenticeship and was sent off to AgriCorp (the farm league), then he got involved with a mission Qui-Gon was on and they went from there.

I don't think Disney treats it as canon, but there's nothing that retcons it yet.

I thought Yoda trained the children.

So Yoda trained Obi-Wan until he was a young adult, then he got apprenticed to Qui Gon.
