It's hard to call this one. What I really don't want to happen is Joshua to use his reach and be cautious and win this by decision. It would be nice to see Ruiz win and then face the winner of Tyson vs Wilder II.

yep.

hope anthony joshua truly learned from the last fight. however if i see him go for the early KO, Ruiz might squeeze another win like the last time. im not sure Anthony Joshua can power through him. who knows though. maybe he can but that didnt work last time. do you go with the original strat like the last time or go a new direction... what Anthony Joshua will do is gonna be interesting.

Andy Ruiz needs to box his style. i dunno what it is but it works. dude seems to box with a ton of heart. hope his training camp prepared him well for this fight cause i think Joshua is going to go hard at him.

I'd love to see Joshua lose again. He's a chicken-shit for not fighting Wilder. He got exposed by a more skilled boxer. He doesn't have any heart. He quit that fight against Ruiz. I hope Joshua gets knocked the fuck out and retires.

Maybe, but probably not. Ruiz is short and fat, deontay is long and hits hard. Against fury forget it, it'll be easy for fury. The winner in February between wilder and fury is the real champion.

So Joshua should have used the same tactics that lost him the first fight? I'm glad he came and boxed the way he did. Showed what he was really made of. Made Ruiz look like a chump because Ruiz didn't try and mix things up. To me that's one of the marks of a good champ. Being able to adapt. Also keeping hungry. What happened to Ruiz? It's like he didn't train at all for the fight. Did he think it would just be a repeat of the first? Joshua is thankfully smarter than that and has the hunger to hit the gym and get into possibly the best shape he's ever been in. Ruiz looked like winning the title was all he cared about and now he'd won it he'd lost his hunger. So many cases of people winning the title and dropping it soon after. Not many who end up going on stupidly long runs for years and years because psychologically if you don't have that hunger then you're never going to be at your best.

Could be that in the contract for the first fight it says there is a rematch if Joshua loses and a further clause stating that if Joshua wins the rematch there is no further rematch.

I'm not ITK and doubt anyone on here is. But that would make sense considering what happened.

it wasn't a bad fight, but Ruiz under performed.

the hype helped ruin him. he won the first time because he was hungry, Joshua underestimated him and also got KOed during a fairly recent(at the time) sparring match.

since then, he became the Mexican Buster Douglas. got fat and unmotivated.

concerned fan: "Hey Bro, aren't you defending your title in a few months? You should put down the torta and the Coronas.."

Ruiz: "Fool, I got this! I was fat last time and it was nothing."
