What thought provoking concept did Infinity War provide? "If we are struggling with famine, should we commit genocide?"

Civil War is a good one because there is still a genuine discussion as to who was right (Cap or Tony). They did a good job balancing that imo.

He reminds me of game developers in the 90s saying "The Sims is not a game; you need a win/loss condition to be a game!"

OK, so it's a different genre of game then...? Or instead of "game", "electronic entertainment" if you're so stuck up that you really hate using the word "game" to describe the sims.

It's literally an argument about semantics on how to define a different genre.

If you're going to call popular recent movies "not cinema", the MCU seems like a weird target to pick. Even the recent Star Wars films would make a better target, to say nothing of stuff like the new Jurassic Park films, the Fast & Furious films, or the Disney live-action remakes.

The MCU movies at least try to prioritize telling good stories in comparison to those other films I mentioned which are specifically meant to be "events" first, stories second.

Strange all around. Also I know it's only like two people, but what is up with the Scorsese bashing in this topic?
