I think it's mainly that they dedicate a lot of funding to these machines and completely abandoned their fanbase. Some of them look like they could have been full fledged games like the Castlevania one.

2) They knowingly attract the most vulnerable to create a vicious cycle of gambling addiction, and because of that Japanese Law had to step in.
3) This is just karma coming back to Konami for fucking over every developer under their wing from Suikoden, MGS, etc.

The division of the company that makes Pachinko machines and slot machines is literally seperate to the one that makes video games.

It literally had no effect on the "resources" in their video game division. The fact is video games outside of mobile don't reliably make bank so they focus on mobile.

Alright so here is a question for you all because NSG board put up with a fit with that video, and supposedly schooling me in a Profit Report about all this stuff, and still rising in 2019. Here is my thing, I don't see this going on if they're going to crack down on Pachinkos. Konami would just likely focus their energy elsewhere to keep generating money.

Also found it strange how some people are just willing to defend Konami regardless of what they're doing.

It's either there is going to be a crackdown on Japanese Gambling Addiction or Japan is just lying and wants to keep people hooked on Pachinkos.
