Shooting for that 98 tag to be available perhaps over this weekend, or at the latest like Tuesday of next week. After that expect the Halloween update to drop on the 29th or 30th. The main update will probably be in the first week of November.

Here's the 98 tag update. I added in 256 new characters which you can check out if you wish by using the "new" tag. You can also use the "1998" tag to play the fully up-to-date version of the year tag, which consists of 825 characters now. This is a whopper of a year and of course is historically one of the most powerful/popular years on Gamefaqs as well. Enjoy!

Started with new tag. Pretty surprised at the PE characters not being in already. Hell yes at Mizzurna Falls!

Mizzurna Falls has always been one of those big want to plays for me, way back when I was making a manual notepad list of survival horror games that existed (this was probably way back in the early days of Steam, before the horror genre really took off in the indie scene). I was always curious since it was compared to Twin Peaks, and Deadly Premonition was also and I enjoyed that one a good bit.

And yeah, when I was tagging this year it was definitely the strongest one I had made a mental note of. Just tons of really great characters who debuted in this year; overall, 98 might stand up as the top year overall for me. We'll see once I finish the tags and play these myself for image updating purposes as well as for fun.

Mostly just a lot of the original one, not as familiar with the second, own the third but have yet to start playing it.

I should be adding something famous from the second game in the next update. May try to replay the original soon, once I'm back to actually playing games. Anyway... results from me.



At 9 I had an incredibly hard match of similar story themes in Ilex Forest and Deku Forest. But Minish Woods won overall since great theme and fun story/introducing the true theme of the game.

I should be able to get nominations for both VGC/VGL in a few days.

Even if people don't play, I tend to think of the people that sometimes/used to play anyway and my work often entails adding stuff from games/series I know they're into. (Check for Ys too)

Yeah the Morgue's music is incredible. I love how it switches from frantic at first to more atmospheric, and then even takes on a carnival-like motif.

It did get favorable matchups, yeah. I'd have rather had a different Zelda location make it but the series does have some cool spooky locals so I'm glad something did.

The October VGC update is well underway, I went through a ton of work today and have nearly 300 images made today. Needless to say yeah, it's another end of the year large month update so in total I have no idea how many characters I've added lately; it's a lot. I'll try to have it finished up some time within the next week.
