Well this is why the rich get richer, people in lower positions keep lowering their bar.

People constantly take on jobs that don't pay them enough, hell immigrants accelerated this problem by doing jobs at a much lower pay than it's worth and everyone else gets punished because of it. People love to bitch how "McDonald's employees don't deserve to make 15 dollars an hour." but that's not the question you need to be asking. Chances are that your well stable 40 dollars an hour job is actually worth about 65-70 dollars an hour. Think about that.

Goes both ways, if youre a project manager whos main skill is delegation odds are youre 60+k job is really worth about 30k.

He's right though. If you need two jobs to support your wife and multiple children all while covering rent, that's your fault. You and your wife should've learned to manage money BEFORE having kids. Imagine if you were single and working only one job. not to mention the debt a lot of people have (student loans, car loans, Amazon purchases, etc).
