Just to declutter my PC, and also make it easier to move stuff between my PC and Laptop, I've been looking into an external SSD. Nothing fancy needed, just to hold and move games, ROMs, movies, pictures, and Word Docs etc. Basically gonna use it as a giant flash drive. I'd be fine with anything from 500GB to 2TB depending on value

Plan 1) Buy a regular NVME and an enclosure to make my own portable SSD.

Plan 2) 1TB Crucial X9 SSD is $130 on Amazon rn. Up to 1050MB/s, supports 3.2 USB-C

on Marketplace, I came across two interesting options:

Plan 3) 2TB Crucial X9 SSD for $160, complete in box, unopened.

Plan 4) 2TB Samsung T3, USB 3.1, for $100

Both the Marketplace deals seem like steals for 2TB. Planning on that 3rd option for price, and the fact it's unopened. Want some input from people who may know better.
