Fun fact, p-adic numbers were used in Andre Wiles's proof of Fermat's Last Theorem

Cool!

I've used binary and hex for computer stuff. But I'm not fully fluent in either off the top of my head so if I need to use them I'll usually use a conversion app.

And most of us use Base 12 in our daily lives without realizing it. Because it was the main system for the Babylonians, which led to multiple aspects of how we perceive the world culturally. It's why we have 24-hour days, 60 minutes in an hour (and 60 seconds in a minute), 12 months, 12 signs of the zodiac, 360 degrees in a circle, and so on.

Ah yeah, you're right regarding base-twelve!
