While I have been playing since the beginning, my favorite entries are SV and XY, and I firmly believe that the best entries in the series are base SM (Mimikyu's introduction); there is really no palpable first generation bias here. Even so, Mimikyu is overrated. We get it; it wants to be Pikachu and cannot. Get in line; so does everyone else not called Charizard. I suppose we can say that its Trial has good ambience and that its gameplay gimmick is amusing the first time. I just do not understand Meme-kyu beyond that especially in context of A) other Pika-clones and B) other lore-rich Ghost types. Whatever the outcome here, this was a close, well-matched round.
