Oh fuck this game. I had this installed when I beat the first one. Last time I underestimated the length of that adventure. Now I really underestimated it. Its really more of the same but now its aware of how tough and oldschool it can be. Previously the map was designed so you could eventually unlock shortcuts making the whole thing circular. Now, the game teases you like a crescent moon---you can see other parts of a map but you have to backtrack all the way around to see them. It can get confusing especially with the no-handholding nature of quests in this game. Plotwise, I sort of didn't like it much. Your main enemy was the Empire who was just all over the place making up about 45% of the enemies in the game. But I won't deny the writing is strong still and the designer really knew what he was doing so meh. Finally glad to be done with this.
