Honestly I think that's the only genre that ridiculous difficulty is a pro for me though. But yeah, the last level having you lose Diddy if you die once is the dumbest design choice in history and your complaints are absolutely valid. Tropical Freeze is both harder than Returns in many ways but also more fair. It's just designed so much better and is so much more ambitious of a game that it feels warranted, if that makes sense. You will probably have complaints on the bosses, but they will never do bullshit like the final boss of Returns does. It's just an infinitely better game in every way and you should play it.
