First they tried to buy Nintendo, or at least met with them about buying them out, and when that failed, because duh, they tried to partner up with them on something else... who knows? Now it turns out when developing the first XBox Microsoft dismantled a PS2 to come up with ideas to help the development of their first console. I don't know how all of this is leaking or why, but it's awesome and they should keep it up because it's fascinating.
