| Simoun 01/01/21 6:02:36 AM #2: | My New Year's was yesterday so here's the game's I've beat since: CAYNE (PC) I should've played this right after STASIS, because I don't remember any of the characters or what's going on. Body horror's still around though so there's that. An extremely depressing game, if I recall. This one was a free spin-off so I wasn't expecting anything much. I was hoping to TRULY cap off 2020 with this as a bonus but I was 10 minutes too late. I also beat The Signifier (PC), a game with great visuals, an intriguing story, and some weird puzzling although it is quite short and you're more in it for the plot, which sort of fell short and philosophical by the end. I would've watched this as a movie which I feel like is a better medium for this. Its main mechanic of switching between subjective and objective points of view felt very convoluted and ultimately I was just doing brute force on the puzzles. And the long loading screens killed whatever engagement I was trying to muster. --- It's not so cliche anymore when it's happening to you. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
