Speedcore! You know what also sounds cool? Power Metal!! LET'S SLAP THE TWO COMPLETELY UNRELATED GENRES TOGETHER!!! Just by seeing the track title and the album art I knew this was going to be power metal, but I was not expecting this to be by a Japanese speedcore artist. The more I listen to this though, the more I realize it's actually not too crazy of a combination. These are both melodic-centric genres that often exceed tempos of 200 BPM, so why not. Pretty fun song, although my main gripe is that this is very obviously inspired by DragonForce, to the point that I'm pretty sure this is a parody. I feel like this exact solo is taken from one of their songs (not sure which one, a lot of their material sounds the same). Anyways this is a better DF song than the actual DF song that was nominated, so all's well! I always enjoy when music mixes together two very different genres that I like, it's fun to see what they end up coming up with. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
