the original art is superior

higurashi is really good. I recommend it. pretty much every single chapter and scene is written better and conveys more detail while providing more tension than the anime adaptation. and I say this as someone who also liked the anime. it's just really, really worth reading.

the later episodes are a bit more difficult, I'll admit. mostly because they focus around explaining the solutions to the mysteries. and if you've already seen the anime you already know the solutions, so it can feel less interesting.
