| Topic | I want a ranged weapon to carry but throwing knives are illegal here. |

I took out my knife to cut some boxes up and on a whim decided to try throwing it at some of them. I was very surprised by the penetrative power I could generate just from basic throws and how fun it was. It got me thinking, I carry my knife in the first place for basic self defense but what do I do if the guy runs off after hitting me or realizing he's out matched? I could chase him sure, but wouldn't it be way cooler to get the last laugh by leaving him a souvenir in the form of a blade in his back? So anyways I just looked up the weapon laws in my state and apparently ninja stars, throwing knives, and ballistic knives are all banned. Keep in mind this is the same state that has no carry or length restrictions on knives, meaning you can walk around with a claymore or a halberd or any type of melee weapon legally in your day to day life. So what are my options for a good portable ranged weapon? Maybe a charkram? I mean you can't really call it a knife since it has no points right? --- Nil- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
