This exactly. My wife's sister is just like this, she had 4 children under the age of 10. She always starts dating to "prove herself" or whatever and tries to act like she can be entirely independent while dating. After a few weeks she basically runs out of income to keep doing this, brings her kids everywhere with them and the guy loses interest fast. Most cases the real dad is a prick also and theres ugliness in that relationship, whereas in early stages she says "its complicated but it won't effect us" until the first holiday or event comes up where he is involved.
