Beat Saber looks like a ton of fun to me, and I haven't played it. I wouldn't be buying Beat Saber as an entry point to VR; I'd be buying VR specifically to play Beat Saber.

A Hat in Time: remember the glory days of the N64, when 3D platforming was basically new? Now, imagine an indie developer making a game that feels like a love letter to Mario 64 in the collectathon sense, with great controls, a timeless graphic style, fantastic music, and enough charm and personality to be memorable for anyone.

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale: It's easy to forget this is eligible for the contest since the original release was pre-2010 and so many games have come out since, but speaking of games with charm, take on the role of a bumbling girl who has to manage her father's debt by running an item shop out of her home. You can run dungeons to acquire wares or you can simply leverage the market. Capitalism, ho!
