The parties are not issues focused. Look at the Obamacare bullshit. The Democrats went with a Republican healthcare plan and every Republican voted against it because the other side did it.

A republican healthcare plan is throwing daddy's wealth at the friendly doctor, educate yourself lol

Parties typically have 1 stance you agree with and 10 you disagree with.

But one party agrees with one stance 60% while another agrees with another stance of yours 30% so 60% of 1/10 is better than 30% of 1/10.

This of course ignores that parties have overarching principles while the individual politicians have specific stances. You can align with the party while not aligning with the politicians currently in power.

Then where's your freedom dividend? And why is your welfare state punier than ours? And why are your conservatives anti-immigration?

Our state welfare far outstrips the US, there are a shit tonne of freebies and rights we take for granted in the UK that the US aren't even aware of. We don't have commie-fornia rules, but we're an established functioning nation, not entitled thespians.

Our conservatives are strongly pro-immigration, they love getting in Indian doctors at cut rates with subpar qualifications undermining UK world-class doctors or turning a blind-eye to Eastern European human trafficking to undercut construction labour.

Brexit is about control over finance law because we abuse the shit out of tax evasion to bring in business, immigration is something all sides want but for different reasons.
