Speeding itself does not cause any deaths, it's an exacerbating circumstance to deaths just like, say, pothole in the road that destabilise vehicles in crashes. This makes government just as responsible for road fatalities but I don't see you guillotining your state representatives. Speeding is another example of the failings of the justice system. Because the system can't reliably determine when people are driving recklessly, an arbitrary speed boundary is set criminalising most incidents which are completely harmless. adjl posted...
